With 7 1/2 weeks to go before the New Mexico Stars debut on Feb. 26 at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, the Indoor Football League franchise is racing against the clock to be ready.

The expansion Stars, introduced in October, will play the Colorado Ice on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 3:05 p.m., the first of 14 games in 2012.

Etta James who had one of the most powerful voices in blues, died today Friday Jan 12,2012 in Riverside, Calif. She was 73 years old. She had numerous hit songs with the most famous being "At Last." Etta had suffered from leukemia and dementia, which is believed to be the cause of her death.
With her hit song "At Last" Etta had also won four Grammy Awards, including a lifetime achievement honor that she received in 2003. She is most often referred to as a rhythm and blues singer and had which helped her make a name for herself as well as a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Blues Hall of Fame.

The idea of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a holiday was promoted by labor unions in contract negotiations.
