Fiery Foods Show Albuquerque - My Experience

It was mid-March when it all began.
The man said to me “Go ahead and try it, it’s our mildest salsa and our biggest seller.”
I should have known not to trust the man in the bright colored attire, looking like something that would have come from Northern Africa. He had a big, wide smile but I just should have known better.
As I consumed the beautiful red salsa on the salty corn chip it had a nice flavor at first, but then it began to change. I started feeling a heat in my mouth and I thought to myself, “wow, this is their mildest huh?”
The heat in my mouth quickly turned to fire and I felt myself starting to sweat. My eyes welled up with tears and all I could think of was water!
I bypassed the long line of people waiting for water, shoving 3 kids out of my way and made it to the nearest water fountain. As the cool water slowly extinguished the flames in my mouth and head I knew it was the beginning of a new love chapter in my life. Fiery Foods!
So I may be exaggerating just a tad in the retelling of my Fiery Foods Show experience last year, but I am being completely honest about my new love of fiery foods.
Now in it’s 24th year of being the premier spicy foods show in the world, the Fiery Foods Show in Albuquerque is a local love. We are honored to host this amazing show, which does not only bring locals in, but people from all around the world!
Founder Dave DeWitt, also known as the Pope of Peppers, has been all around the world talking, teaching, and recruiting vendors for his show all about Fiery Foods.
